January 22nd, 2008
Okay, we may not be able to fully understand everything about it, but the bottomline is, whatever happens to the economy of the most powerful nation in the world, we will all going to be affected. So no wonder, all eyes are on the "Big Board" right now as US markets reopen as I write this. Major international media outfits are broadcasting live telecasts of what is happening right now in New York

Living By Faith

November 4th, 2007
Days from now, I will be in my first year in my present job. This morning I tried to check on my financial obligations in the Philippines and see whether what are the present balances of each of my loans. I guess when I sold my business to my sister, I should have ask her to pay the full amount rather than settle for a partial payment. Thus, making my other loans unsettled. Funny thing is, my sister is also selling it for they have also decided to move to Singapore this November 15. Hmmm, sayang, I should have sold it to someone else, huh??? How will I know....

Anyways, I was forced to create a budget plan for the next year. It was like I'm starting all over again. The way I see it, it will take another year before I can fully enjoy what I'm earning. When I decided to take my family here with me, I keep my eyes closed and ask God to take control. I'm allowing God to take full control of my finances. I just hope I'm not listening to my own thoughts this time.

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts." (Isaiah 55:8-9)

Thank God, He kept on reminding me to trust in His Word. His Divine providence never gets exhausted.

I am a WARRIOR!

August 18th, 2007

I took this test about finding out your inner hero.

I'm a Warrior!

Guess what? I’m a warrior! And I’d like to think all this write up about being a warrior is so true of me…haha

Your Profile:

You’re tough, courageous, and up to your eyebrows in chutzpah. If you’re still in school, your teachers probably talk a lot about your “potential.” If you work, your boss calls you a “pro-active self-starter,” whatever that means. You don’t shy away from hard work, that’s for sure. When it comes to leisure, you’d rather be out hiking or biking or snowboarding than sitting around watching TV or reading a book. You care about your health, and have strong opinions.

Above all, you’re a man/woman of action and a born leader. You see obstacles as challenges and hardship as an opportunity to build your character (and your muscles). You’re not afraid of conflict - in fact, you’re not afraid of much of anything. You tend to dive into things headfirst and sort out the consequences later.

Your Mission:

You were put on this earth to lead others. They will follow you, because they are bowled over by your forceful personality, your charisma, and your willingness to do what they’re afraid to do. You are the one who has to make things happen, because everyone else is too afraid of rocking the boat.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to Start Something. Something small, or something big. Start a club at your school. Propose a new project to your boss. Invent a new family tradition. Start a small business. Start SOMETHING.

And don’t dally about it. We WILL be checking up on you.

A Warning:

Try to remember: it’s not all about you. Yes, people tend to do what you say, but don’t abuse that power. Don’t be a bully, even if you feel like the weaklings really deserve it. Have a Paladin teach you how to “make nice” when necessary. You have the potential to become a great leader, but only if you curb your tendency to be thoughtless, egocentric, and well, sometimes just plain rude.

And by the way, just because you don’t understand something, that doesn’t mean it’s “stupid.” Get a Wizard to figure things out for you instead of just giving up when your attention span runs out.

Ok, so where’s my shield & sword?

Finally…

January 1st, 2005

Saintdune.com Internet Center along Peñafrancia Avenue finally opened. I have now 12 PC's and the Photocopying machine will start operating this Thursday. I also added other services like book-binding, video editing and others plus school supplies are also available.

How exhausting week it has been (physically and financially!). Now, I will start to establish good relation with costumers in order for me to win them. The difference between customers from J. Hernandez Branch and Peñafrancia Branch is that the former is located near a private school while the new branch is near a public school. The latter has less money to spend. I have tried to sell the car indoor for me to lessen my amortization but I end up selling a lot in Caceres Height Subdivision. Hmmm.. Why??? Waahhh!!!! Well, God will give it back to me later, I believe!

Starting a Business in a Financially Depleted Country

January 1st, 2005
I don’t know what came to my mind. It’s just that in an instant, I’m starting a business. An internet café, that is. A businessman once told me, to start a business, you must take the first step otherwise it will only be a long lost dream. It will take guts to do so though specially that the economy is not doing well but then again, I took the first step! Well, hopefully it will be operational by August 8, 2005. Bless me Lord, indeed, enlarge my territory!
